Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday!

Good morning.... err... well, Good Afternoon everyone <3

So it is the last Wednesday of Summer break for my kids.  On Monday (26th) I'll be packing lunches and sending 2 of 3 kids off to school.  My oldest will be heading off to 2nd grade this year.  I think he's excited, which is good.  And then my little kindergartner!  I have no idea if he's excited or not.  He seems kinda neutral about the whole thing.  At first he was excited, he thought he'd be with his big brother.  But then, we broke the news to him that he won't get to hang out with big brother all day.  He'll be in the same school but separate rooms.  He only goes half day so I think that makes things easier, it'll give him a better chance at adjusting to being away from me.  Or I guess, it makes it easier on me being away from him...   Yeah, I'm nervous.  I was nervous sending the first one off to school and I'm nervous about this one as well.  I'm rather attached to this guy though so I think it's going to be hard.  *sniffle*  We got this!

I have some pictures to share of some of my recent finished projects.  Let's see, there are these adorable little kittens:
Cute, huh!

Then there is my Hello Kitty-like toy.  She's rather cute too.
Adorable? Yes.

Both of those can be purchased through my facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/neezy.crochet

I'm currently working on a Spongebob, which is quite large!  He's cool though, here is a picture of the first one I made, posing with my boys.

And now on to What I Wore Wednesday!
Alright..
On the top is a beautiful tube top from Soulflower (LOVE Soulflower!!)
On the bottom are my white shorts from Target
The jewelry is the same stuff I always wear minus my St. Baldrick's bracelet :-(  The boys got putty stuck all over it and now it's in the trash
And on top of my head are the only sunglasses that fit me decent.

And there you go.  A blog, from me, to you <3  I hope everyone has a fantastic Wednesday!

Oh look! The mail is here :-)

I'm Still Here!

Hi! did you think I disappeared?
I didn't. I've been here, just kinda busy.
So here it is my What I wore Wednesday post AND some other stuff.

Let's start with the other stuff first.
I'm busy.  Busier than I have been in quite awhile.  I had two birthdays to celebrate, just 5 days apart and then a party in between.
Here are a few pictures from that:
The cake

BALLOONS

and mustache tattoos for everyone!

And then I suddenly got a bunch of orders!  I've been working on those when I'm not doing something for my birthday boys.  I had an order for a triceratops and a Sponge bob.  The triceratops was picked up on party day and I'm working on Sponge bob now.  I have most of his pieces done, and I'm hoping to be done by the weekend.  Here is part of him:

After I finish Sponge bob I have a few other things to work on. Dory, Nemo and Hello Kitty.  And then two other kitties.  And guess what, I got some jewelry orders too!  I have about 5 or so Baltic amber items to make.  Hopefully my beads get here soon!  And a nest necklace.  I haven't made one of those in awhile, but they're always a hit!
Thank you to all my lovely customers for your business.  I really appreciate it!

Now on to what I wore/am wearing today on this cloudy Wednesday.

First off, I had to workout.
So..
on the top: random workout tank that I have
bottom: shorts from Kohl's
feet: I had socks and... *gasp* sneakers on too!

After my workout I put some 'daytime clothes' (as my kids call them) on.
top: gray tank and sheer blue tee over top
bottom: tank shorts
feet: naked!

And then this morning my favorite nail polish brand had a post saying "Orange is the New Black" and so, my fingernails are orange today :-)
P.s. That is an amazing show if you haven't yet seen it.  You can find it on Netflix

I've missed you!

It has been entirely too long since my last post!  I apologize!

You see, I've been busy... but not really.  I was at a bake sale which I mentioned before.  It went well, they raised a good amount of money from all the yummies.  I made some money off some jewelry and donated a little over 10% of my earnings to St. Baldrick's.

Then the next weekend we did the community yard sale.  It rained a little bit but we still sold some stuff.  I'm looking forward to the next yard sale so I can hopefully get rid of even more.  How fabulous would it be to get a ton of unused stuff out of our garage??  Pretty stinkin' fabulous!

The week following the yard sale I was at the doctors office with my oldest because his throat hurt.  They diagnosed him with strep without testing. It may have actually been something else.

Well, then the next weekend came and we went to a Family Reunion.  My dad's side of the family.  I knew about half, met a few new ones though!  The drive there was an adventure.  We decided to test out our DVD players for the car.  My youngest ended up getting sick in the car about 20-30 minutes into the trip.  Car sickness?  Maybe the movie and being in the car made him sick.  But if anyone of you remember I don't handle this kind of thing well.  We decided to keep going, about 20 or so minutes later he got sick again!  Movie again?  We made it to the reunion and had to wash the poor kids clothes.
I really hope it was something else that caused him to get sick and not watching the movie because we're headed about 4 hours south in a few weeks and it's going to be a REALLY long car ride if we got a kid who gets sick every 20 minutes.  Shew!

So then my oldest gets a full body rash the following week and we head back to the doctor.  This time he sees a different doctor who says he could have fifths disease (not strep!).  Home again for the day.

We finally had a weekend at home.  Except we didn't stay home.  On Sunday we had lunch at Ruby Tuesdays (love that salad bar!), we headed to the park for a bit and then to Toys R Us.  It was a nice day!

Now that we're about caught up I can share this week with you all.  Monday was good, just a regular Monday.  Tuesday at around 3:15am my youngest woke up crying. Fun times.  He got up again at 4:15am... even more fun!  Finally when he woke up around 8am he was pretty upset and felt warm.  ::sigh::  Sick kid #2   Later that day after a bit of a nap (him, not me) he woke up really upset again. He hadn't hardly eaten all day and wasn't really drinking much.  So I checked his temperature.  103.4*!  I gave him a bit of tylenol.  After an hour it was down to 100.7 but I was concerned so I made him a doctors appointment.  Doctor looked him over a few times, nurse checked him over a little bit and did a strep test.  The test results were negative so he doesn't have strep.  Possibly fifths disease.  Yay...  Today he seems to be feeling better though so now I guess we just wait for our other kiddo to get this.

And now you are all caught up!  Sorry for not posting more, I've been a little distracted with my life lately.

I should mention that if anyone is going to be wanting something 4th of July specific then you should probably get your orders in soon.  I'll be on vacation from June 22-29th and may or may not have time to work on orders while there.

Summertime, is that you?

It's just a little after noon and it's already 72* out there!  We're expecting a high of around 87... 87!  It's only May.

So, what am I doing on this hot day?  Well, I'm glad you asked.  I am, not doing anything :-)
Okay, to be honest, I'm sitting here writing this blog.  I wanted to say hello.  Hello!

And of course I have to tell you what I'm wearing today.  It is Wednesday after all.
On the top: black tank from Macy's and a sheer white tee from... Ross?
On the bottom: Super cozy stripey skirt from Old Navy
Naked feet as usual.

I'm back to wearing tons of bracelets too!  YAY! Three on each wrist.  I love how warm weather equals more bracelets for me.  They are hard to wear with long sleeves.

This weekend we have the community yard sale going on.  And so I will be in my driveway attempting to sell some of our unused items.  But, I'll also probably be out there with my crochet and jewelry stuff. So, if you are in the area, please stop by the Wakeland Manor community yard sale!  Would me a lot to see my customers.

Fringe, Unicorns and Cookies!

Sorry for waiting oh so long before posting.  I've been a little busy this week.  You see, I posted a week long deal on both eSpecially You. & Neezy!  That's right, a deal that lasted the whole week.

Over at eSpecially You.  you can get a pair of fringe earrings for just $10.00-shipped.  These hand woven earrings are usually around $15 a pair so that's a pretty good deal.  I only have 3 different ones made already but can make them in many different colors.
These are my favorite.

~ Rainbow Fringe Earrings ~

Pretty, huh!

Then if you head over to Neezy, you'll see that you can get horses, unicorn, and zebras for just $18.00-shipped.  These are normally $22 so there is a good deal as well.  Of course this isn't limited to just those three.  If you want a donkey, you can get one for just $18.00 as well.

~Rainbow Unicorn ~

Now on to my absolute favorite subject, COOKIES!  Okay, that's not really my favorite but I do love cookies.  Tomorrow, Saturday May 11, 2013 there is a Bake Sale.  Proceeds from this event will go to St. Baldrick's.  Not sure what St. Baldrick's is about?  Well....

What does the St. Baldrick's Foundation do?
The St. Baldrick's Foundation currently funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. The Foundation coordinates its signature head-shaving events worldwide, where volunteers get bald to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer and raise money to support life-saving childhood cancer research. St. Baldrick's events are the largest volunteer-driven fundraising opportunity benefiting pediatric cancer research.
stbaldricks.org
Sounds good, doesn't it??  So, if you're in my area, PLEASE stop by the bake sale that is going on tomorrow.  Starts at 12-noon and lasts until 5pm.    There will be more than just baked deliciousness there.  I've heard that there will also be some face painting for the kids, Mary Kay baskets too!  And as long as all goes well, I will be there with a few crochet items, sewn items and jewelry.

Clothes, Colored Hair and Earrings

I'm gonna talk about my clothes, it must be Wednesday!

So, is everyone having a good week so far? Yay for Wednesday, right?  My son has a short week at school, no school Friday.  Apple Blossom Festival is apparently such a big deal around here that they get a day off from school!  Awesome!

So let's get started with the usual Wednesday post.  I mean, I should be making Cinnamon Rolls (oh my gosh, yum!) but I feel like we should chat a bit first.

Let's see how this goes...
On the top: a shirt, I don't know what brand it is...from Ross, maybe?  I really love it though, te he
On the bottom: Angels capris, pretty sure they came from Ross
Naked feet as usual

What's that?  My hair?  Oh yes, that's right.  It's teal and pink!  If you aren't friends with me on Facebook then you don't know about it yet.  I LOVE IT!  I don't know that I have ever loved any color as much as I'm loving these.  Seriously.  Every time I wash it I get sad as I see the pink water.  It's not permanent, it'll take some upkeep but... totally worth it!  It's gorgeous.
Pretty, huh?!?

Now on to earrings.  I've been busy with needle, thread and beads lately.  I love this style of earring and if they don't sell I'm going to start wearing them myself.

I have made 3 pairs so far.  All three are different.  Those pictured above are the rainbow fringe and also the biggest pair.  The other two are smaller and the colors are different.  They sell for under $15 a pair unless you request sterling silver ear wires.

Have a lovely day <3

Bracelets for Everyone!

I am fascinated by hands.  Just think of all the things you can do with them.  Right now I am using my hands to communicate with all of you through this blog post.  I use my hands to make jewelry, to crochet and to turn fabric into different things.  I use my hands when caring for my children or to hold their hand as we walk.  Hands are useful in so many ways.  A simple handshake can make a deal, a hand on a shoulder can show you care.

Another thing I like are bracelets.  I've always liked the way that bracelets look on people.  Whether it's a simple chain around a wrist or a wide piece of leather (faux for me please).  I think everyone should wear a bracelet, or a watch if you prefer.   I love for people to wear bracelets so much that when you spend $20 with eSpecially You.  you get a free one!  If I could, I would make a bracelet for everyone.

This is a bracelet I made yesterday.  It is a mens bracelet, the length is just under 8"  For a claps I used two large lobster clasps.

Another bracelet I made yesterday was this mens bracelet.  This one is on stretch cording.  This one is 8"

Cold, warm, cold, warm, cold... warm?

Well, I suppose we can say that spring has officially arrived.  Sadly, spring seems to sneak out for a bit on the weekends.  Yes, it could be colder but...  I enjoy a week of 70+ degree weather only to find myself oh so cold when the temperature hits a high of mid 50's on the weekend!  We do all our best outside work on the weekends, why so cold?

So, it's a lovely day today, temperature creeping up towards mid 70's today which is awesome.  But guess where I am?  That's right, on my cozy couch corner writing to you.  I should be outside but I've blogged out there and it wasn't very easy.  The glare on the screen was blinding and it was just too nice to focus.  So here I am, sipping a Detox Drink (not too bad), baking bread and writing this post.  I can hear both Angry Birds and some other game in the background along with some road work.   Oh the glorious sounds of modern life, te he.

What am I working on this week?

Well... nothing, really.  I started to work on a monkey for my son but didn't make it any further than the head.  No motivation to work on it.  I'll get back to it, I promise.  Then I made a crochet friendship bracelet which, in my opinion, has a bit of a tie dye look to it.   I haven't made any jewelry lately other than that friendship bracelet.  I love making jewelry but my pre-made box is seriously a mess and I hate to add to it.  Want to buy a necklace?

Oh dear...
I think I broke the bread...
So while mixing bread, blogging and scrolling through Facebook I seemed to have let the bread mix too long.  So I added extra flour like normal but that didn't seem to go well because apparently it was too much.  The kids loaf of bread weighs a ton, hopefully it still turns out.  That's not the worst of it... I add sunflower seeds to the second loaf of bread, which I did... but it was still so tough so I added water, just a little (errr... a lot-ish) which made it super wet and gross so I tried to remedy that with some soy flour which turned it into something gross.  It's in the oven, lets hope I didn't ruin two loaves of bread or I may cry, seriously.

Here are a few pictures of some stuff I've made over the last week.
An "L" pillow (requested by my kiddo)

A shopping tote, because I love this fabric :-)

A lumpy elephant.  I don't love him.  Would you like him?

And I'd like to end with my current Facebook status:

So many people are worried about our children and their future.
What we need to do is raise better children. Don't raise them to be harder or tougher. Raise them to love, to have empathy, kindness and heart.
If you want a better world, start at home.

Sunshine and Beating Autism!

Good Morning!
I'm writing this from my deck :-)
The glare is beyond ridiculous, more like a mirror at this point but I'm not going to let that stop me.  Today is GORGEOUS!  Sunny skies (okay, a little cloudy), slight breeze and WARM!
Can you tell I'm excited???

On to some Autism talk.
Autism is a developmental disorder that appears in the first 3 years of life, and affects the brain's normal development of social and communication skills.
Thank You, wikipedia.

Each year, for the past few years, I have been making simple beaded bracelets to help raise money for autism research.  One hundred percent of the money made from these bracelets goes to Beading to Beat Autism.
Beading to Beat Autism was started by a little girl living in Louisville, KY.  Her brother has autism and she wanted to help.  So with just a little bit of money she started making bracelets.  This grew into such a large thing.  So many people are helping her raise money!  That's where I got started.  I signed up for a kit, so that I could make bracelets too.  And after the 30 days was up I decided to keep going.  I'm still going.  I sell them year round but really talk about it during April.  These are just simple bracelets made on stretch cord.  Occasionally I'll add other beads to them also.  With a donation of just $3 you'll receive a bracelet as a reminder of your help.

Let me know if you'd like to help out by making a donation to Beading to Beat Autism!

It's Wednesday!

Back to school!
My oldest headed back to school this morning.  He's been off since last Thursday for Spring break.  It was nice to see him go.  Oh, how mean did that sound?  I'm just glad he's getting out of the house and will be back to learning.  He's so smart!  Plus, he'll get to see his friends.  Hopefully they are all there, no sickies!?!

So I'm still working on this Care Bear but the good news is, I have lots of pieces now.  A head, main body, 2 arms and 2 legs.  I haven't pieced it together yet but soon, soon!  I think I may actually hit my goal of finishing this thing by Friday!  YAY!

In the mail today I'll be getting some fabric scraps from Butterbeans&Chicpeas! I always miss her scrap packs that she posts so last time I saw some I bought two!  I have no idea what I'll do with them.  Last time I made some bunnies.  Do you remember the Snuggy Bunnies?  I'm considering some Snuggy Bears, what do you think?

Oh and here... it's me on this lovely (yet still cold) Wednesday morning.
I swear this looks like a repeat from another Wednesday.  This tells me I need to go shopping! HA!
On the top: off white tank and long sleeve orange shirt (Target)
On the Bottom: Best jeans ever, WallFlower jeans (amazon.com)

I need a hair cut.  It looks okay in the picture but in person it's not so pretty.  The split ends are taking over.    I want to keep it long but need it cut.  Maybe 4" off??  We'll see...

Is it Spring, yet?

Seriously though! Where is my warm weather?  Blooming trees?  Is it time to put away the long sleeve shirts?  Boo!

Did everyone enjoy their weekend?  Whether you celebrated a holiday or not, I hope your weekend was fantastic!  We did our little  Spring activities and then went to visit family on Easter Sunday.  Yummy food was eaten, children got spoiled, and a good time was had by all.

Instead of eggs, we do tie dye.  It's a lot of fun and the kids get some cool new shirts!  Here is one of the 15 that I did.
It's a heart!

Now, what have I been up to craft wise?  Well... I've been working on my first EVER Care Bear.  He is so slow coming along and I feel just awful but I'm writing the pattern while working.  There has been a lot of pulling out and redoing.  I'm getting there though.  And am hoping to have him finished by the weekend.  If so, I'll be sharing him with you next week.   As for jewelry.. I just haven't gotten anything new made.  I've been so busy with everything else.  Three kids will definitely keep a SAHM busy, that's for sure!  I am thinking about doing some birds nest pendants if I can find some free time.  We'll see!  Here is one from last year.

Have a fabulous day everyone!   See you tomorrow for What I Wore Wednesday!

A Mon-Tuesday and Clothes on Wednesday

Good Grief it's Wednesday already! I'm always so surprised when it comes.

Yesterday was Mon-Tuesday.  My oldest had a snow day off from school on Monday so when Tuesday got here it felt like Monday.  Now that it's Wednesday it's feeling like Friday.  Ugh!  My days are all messed up.  I think late spring is causing this confusion.  I need some warm weather, flowers, birds and trees with leaves.  I think that would be quite lovely.  You know, this time last year my kids were outside in short sleeved shirts, no jackets.  But this year, we have to put a coach on just to go out for the mail. Brrr!

Yesterday I realized that I am almost out of diaper refills.  We use gDiapers on our youngest.  He's been using them 90% of the time since he was born.  I love them!  Cloth outside, flushable insert, Awesome!  But my darling hubby and I decided that once this case was gone that was it.  No more g's... I'm sad.  So yesterday I pulled out the stash, and it made me want to have another baby just so I could use them again.  I don't actually want another baby, I still have a kid that keeps me up all night.  But, oh!  If you all could see these precious little diapers.... you'd want a baby too!  So I sent a farewell to the gDiapers page on Facebook.  And immediately I had moms wanting my diapers!  Well, that's cool and stuff but... I don't wanna get rid of them.  I want to keep these things FOREVER!  But, I can't.  I have to get rid of them.  So I sold almost all the medium diapers and a couple of the larges.
Here is a picture of my mediums, so cute!
Aren't they pretty?  I miss them already.

I still have all the tiny g's and the size small.  Those are so adorable!  The tiny g's can fit preemie and newborn!  Oh so little!

Anyway, I must stop talking about diapers.  My boys are growing up, I should be happy that I'm almost done with kids in diapers, I am!  But... they're so tiny and cute!  I love tiny baby things.

So anyway, moving on.  It's Wednesday and I know everyone wants to know what I'm wearing.  Arizona jeans, lime green tank with a black long sleeve shirt over top.  Oh... you want a picture?  Well, I didn't take one.  I guess I could do that.  I'm sleepy... and I noticed before going to the bus stop that my shirt has a hole in it.  But... I suppose I can go get a picture for you :-)
Ah yes, it's one of those days where I can't even hold my head straight.  I'm tired...
On the top:  Lime tank (Target)
Black long sleeve shirt (Target)
On the bottom: Arizona jeans (JCP)

Wednesday... I'm wearing...

So here it is another Wednesday.  First calendar day of Spring (it's too cold) and I'm watching 'Hop'.
That and I'm also crocheting a bit.  I made bracelet this morning.  Another one with a locket.
But on to more important things...
Today I am wearing...

Are you ready?

On the top: bright pink tank
blue sweater from Target
On the bottom:  Arizona jeans from a store...somewhere...
on the toes: Zoya nail polish - Wednesday (how perfect!)

I also have Starbucks in hand, thanks honey!
And then there is my glove that I wear when I crochet for thumb support.

Lockets

So I like to buy mix bags of beads.  By doing that I get lots of new beads to try out. Which is great because I can try things before buying a bunch. And I also get the chance to see new beads that I would never have thought to buy.  Sometimes I get things like ear wires, head pins and pendants.  Well, my most recent mix bags included lockets!  I've always liked lockets, although I've never had one with a picture in it.  I just like them, they're pretty and such a sweet idea.  So when I pulled out multiple heart shaped lockets from this bead mix I was so excited!

But what should I make with them?  Of course a necklace would need to be made, because that's pretty much how people always wear lockets but... what else could I do?  A bracelet perhaps?  The locket could hang as a charm from the bracelet.  These aren't huge lockets anyway and so yesterday while trying to stay awake ( Neezy doesn't like his bed, he prefers mine...) I decided to put some jewelry together.

So here is the necklace idea I came up with:

It's on a thin snake chain.  I added a 6mm bicone Swarovski crystal in aquamarine.  That just happens to March birthstone.  And then I added a small flower charm too.  I think it came out quite lovely.  The chain is unfinished right now, I haven't settled on a length for a necklace like this.  Or I may change the chain type.  I haven't fully decided yet.

And then there is a bracelet idea:

This is made with glass pearls.  It has a toggle clasp and the locket it slightly off centered.    It is quite lovely in person.  Not sure if I will stick with the design, will have to wait and see how others like it.

And I HAVE to share a bit of art work.  Over the weekend, the tiny men and I were drawing pictures.  I drew a cute little owl and Neezy said he needed my paper.  I assumed he wanted to scribble all over it which is what he would normally do but instead he did this:

He drew an owl right next to mine!  I couldn't believe how awesome he did.  He's been drawing faces lately, adding eyes, nose and mouth.  He even draws hair for them.  But this owl was just spectacular!  Quite the artist my little Neezy is <3

It's WEDNESDAY!

And so here it is another Wednesday.

Blogging sure does make the days go by quickly!

Also, last week, I whined about the snow but would you believe it is all gone!?!?   That's right, over a foot of snow is gone and in it's place, semi-spring like weather! Weird, and yet oh so awesome all at the same time.  It could be a little warmer though, like 60's would be splendid.  But...  my flowers are blooming.  Check out some cell phone pictures of my blooming bulbs :-)

Beautiful!  I love spring.  It needs to finish arriving!  Please...

And so, on to my What I Wore Wednesday post.
Here I am:
On the top: White tank (Kirkland brand) and pink and blue striped shirt (Old Navy)
On the bottom: WallFlower Jeans
Naked feet per the norm

Did you notice my picture isn't blurry this week??!?! Or isn't AS blurry as it was.  How weird, right?

And I was just thinking that as a jewelry maker I should probably share my jewelry that I wear each and every day.  Ready?
Alright, I made the hemp necklace.  NOT the owl, that was a gift.
The next necklace down is my favorite (yet dangerous) 'Vegan' necklace.  I've cut myself on it multiple times, it has sharp edges
And on the bottom is a necklace that I made, it has a Swarovski crystal for each of my boys (2 rubies and 1 light amethyst) plus a sterling birds nest w/ 3 eggs (not made by me)

Right ear: the same hoops that I have been wearing for years!
Next up with my diamond from my love
Above that is a moon, the earring back has a 4 leaf clover on it.  I'll be wearing this until at least the 17th

Left year, pretty much the same as my right except in the top I have a ruby.  Sadly I lost my other ruby :-(

And on my wrist is the only bracelet I wear 24/7  It is a simple beaded bracelet on stretch cord.  The initials BTBA stand for Beading to Beat Autism.  I sell these simple bracelets (each one is different) year round for $3 a piece.  100% of the money is donated.

And I'll end with a super cute picture of my oldest:
I "stole" this from the school website.  That is why his name is blurred out.  I blurred out the kids in the background though.

Have a fabulous day <3

Building T-rex and Baking Bread

How could I forget about Blog Post Tuesday?  This should be routine by now.

I think I know what happened...

Last night I went to bed later than usual.  I was waiting for my darling husband (we always go to bed together) who was busy with some stuff.  So it was getting later, after 11pm when we finally made it upstairs.  Then after laying in bed for MAYBE 15 minutes my door opens.  And here comes Neezy to sleep with mommy and daddy!  YAY!  No...
Then the wind started blowing and I SWEAR someone was driving a race car somewhere!  Or maybe I was just that tired.  Either way, I couldn't get to sleep.  And then with the time change, waking up at 6am, which use to be 5am is hard!  So I got up, had a mini bagel and then laid down on the couch.  Normally I sleep for 10 minute intervals until I have to get up.  Well... I slept for 15 minutes, woke up, looked at the clock and went to sleep for 15 more minutes.  I looked at the clock, saw I didn't need to be up for another 15 minutes so I went back to sleep.  30 minutes later I jump up, realizing I NEED to get my son up for school.  ::sigh::
Did I mention that it was raining? Yep, so it was all dark and rainy which is perfect for sleeping.

Anyway, so here I am, writing to you :-)

Today I am working on a T-Rex.  This guy is coming along at a rather slow pace.  I'm working from a picture, trying to write my own pattern.  He's pieces right now, not really anything to share.  I have his main body piece, his tail and about 50% of his head done.  He's modeled after a dinosaur from an Annie's Attic pattern which I believe is out of print.

I'm also baking bread.  I have my regular sandwich bread recipe that I tend to make every week.  I've altered it over the years to include different flours and some chia seeds.  Well, today I decided to go a different route.  We're borrowing a cook book from my Mother in Law and I found a bread I wanted to try.  The kids probably won't be super interested because it has sunflower seeds in it but, I don't mind.  That will mean, more for me!  It is Whole Wheat Sunflower Seed Herb bread.  This recipe makes two loaves so I really hope it's good.

And since I don't want to have a whole post without a single picture...

That's me, almost 8 years ago at Disney World.  tehe~ Enjoy :-)

What I Wore Wednesday: Lazy Snow Day Edition

Alright, as I mentioned yesterday...
**  But I can tell you all right now, if I wake up to more than a light dusting of snow tomorrow, I am not going to be happy :-/  **

Well guess what happened...?

Yep, at least 1 foot of snow happened.  Not. Happy.
Sorry about the crummy through the window picture.  It's cold and super windy out there.

Oh and I have sick children.  Or well, at least one of them is sick, temperature of about 101*  He's doing better than he was this morning but appears to be wearing down again.  But then there is this kid:

Sure he looks all sweet and innocent here but when he's in bed with you all night...  he's not quite so fun.

I'm hoping he just didn't sleep well last night and that he's not actually sick.  They did start scraping the roads EXTRA early this morning which if it kept me up, I'm sure he was awake as well.  This kid has some serious separation anxiety.  Hopefully it stops or eases up a bit before he turns 3.  We have 3 1/2 months until then.  Maybe we can get that paci from him too?!?!  Maybe??

Alright and since I know you are just dying to know, here I am on this "fine" Wednesday afternoon.

That's me, being so lazy I didn't even bother trying to take a good picture.
On the top: orange t-shirt hidden under my fleece Columbia hoodie
On the bottom: Jeans... Arizona jeans, they have holes in them and are pretty comfy
Nothing on my feet :-)
I'm wearing my crafters glove on my right hand but you can't see that in this picture.

And because I know you're curious about what is in my lap.  It's a triceratops leg, or at least that's what it's going to be.  Right now it's just a circle.
